Amebo, I don’t have much to say today. I just don’t want you to think something has happened to me (even though I haven’t written to you in about four weeks now, but we won’t dwell on the negatives)
Abeg no vex for me, I was kidnapped and arrested by a marketing campaign I was executing (executing- wow look at me using professional lingo and stuff) at work. It really did become my Alpha and Omega for the past few weeks and as much as I like to give 1000% on tasks, I don’t think letting it take over my life is a good thing.
These past few weeks, I could barely find time to enjoy fun stuff or handle some responsibilities. When I had a little time to, I was too mentally tired or worried about how the campaign was doing to let myself focus on other things, talk less of fun.

I just wanted to sleep. Or cry. Or worship. (I was/am even slacking in the prayer dept. but that is a story for another day)
There are a few lessons I am learning from being so swamped these past few weeks and because I think my Amebos should not struggle as much as I did, I will share. (You won’t say thank you Ify before I vex now?)
Take 15 to 20 minutes breaks every 2 hours or so. This will help your head to cool down. Sha don’t go on Twitter or IG, if not, you won’t come back. Go on YouTube instead and watch a 10-minute low-effort BBNaija video.
When it is closing time, close. This “work from home” distin can be intrusive and if you are not careful you will work till 1 AM without knowing. Abeg, close laptop, go chop, baff, watch Netflix. No be you kill Jesus.
Have your breakfast ready the night before. Or at least prepare the ingredients the night before. If not, you will end up eating popcorn and crackers three mornings in a row and the mallam selling it on your street will be greeting you “Aunty welcome” when you come to buy more.
Take a walk in the morning or evening. If you are like me and you suddenly become a genius when you take walks, then I don’t need to say much. If you are not, learn from geniuses like us. 😏
READ YOUR BIBLE IN THE MORNING! If you no do am for morning, you go forget or worse, do #JesusWillUnderstand and not read it at all.
If you have other tips that can help a fellow amebo, please leave a comment
Fun Stuff
This is the kind of funny video I watch when I take those 15 to 20-minute breaks.
This is my favourite ad at the moment- not like I drink Coca-cola like that or anything, but the lines, sis. The wordssss.
The “I Said What I Said” podcast from FK and Jola will always be bae, (if you still say bae, you’re raz and i love you) especially this episode with Dimma Umeh where they talk about the love of money and Owambes. You should listen.
Lazy people, get in here! This article justifies our laziness. Today na our day, make we do shakara!
Till next time Amebo!
